Meet Dr. Palisa Williams Rushin
Author. Speaker. Leader. Teacher.
Dr. Palisa Williams Rushin is a thought-provoking author, dynamic speaker, servant leader, and engaging teacher who is mission driven to uplift and empower others to overcome. Her message is one of hope and resilience. She believes that the purpose of life is to live a life of purpose.
As a purpose driven leader, at the age of 26, she earned her doctorate degree from Indiana University, Bloomington. Pursuing a career in higher education, Dr. Rushin became a Vice President focusing on student development to help advance first generation college students, those who have been marginalized, and those who are underprepared due to a lack of resources and life circumstances.
Also, as a teacher she has been ministering to women and men through small groups, Bible study, and discipleship classes for over two decades. Notwithstanding, her own faith was challenged with the death of her 21-year-old daughter. Learning to live with grief and not the daily subjection to the intensity of the pain, Dr. Rushin is committed to facilitating a pathway to peace and healing for others.
Her tenacity to live and thrive is encouraged through her marriage of over 30 years to Demetrit Rushin, her amazing son Tomias, Granddog Honey, and fond memories of her daughter Zephany.
